England

I have traveled to England twice first as a child and again later as an adult.

Memories of a Five Year Old

My first voyage across the pond was when I was five.  My mother studied as an undergraduate at Oxford University and was using this trip as an opportunity to visit friends from college.  Sadly, since I was so young many of the specifics of the trip have faded from my memory.  However, I remember many of the key landmarks and other attractions that we visited so many years ago.  With the assistance of my father I will soon highlight the destinations we visited during my first trip to England.  The trip information can be found in the Growing Up Traveling section.

Twenty Years Later – Baltic Cruise

Then in 2009 when I was in my mid 20’s I returned to England for the Baltic Sea cruise.  We spent approximately four days in London (2 before the cruise & 2 after the cruise) and a few brief hours in the port city of Dover.  Some of the major attractions that were only fleeting memories from my first trip were reinforced by my second visit as an adult.  Many other cultural and historic  sights were also seen during this trip.  Please use the destination links for additional information about my experiences at these locations.
